From my window-seat, I see the landscape fly,
\nforms pass, but who is moving –
\nthe traveller within the shell of motion
\nor the shifting world beyond?<\/p>\n
I occupy an ever-moving stance
\ndown the winding spiral’s arm.
\nSometimes, the frontier between
\nhere and the emptiness beyond is blurred.<\/p>\n
At times a haze obscures the crystal view
\nI thought to shelter me, a world serene;
\ninstead the mind is played by scenes
\nbefore and after the immediate.<\/p>\n
The fleeting netherworld reveals itself
\nbut for the barest breath;
\nthe path is tangled and obscure,
\na ghostly shell of the corporeal.<\/p>\n
Strange images assail my eyes –
\nfamiliar recollections from my past
\nor future that has yet to be,
