Once there was a person, almost a person.
\nNot without fears or dreams –
\nbut always reckoning the hours
\nto the slow rhythm of breath.<\/p>\n

Marked and defiled,
\nI crawl from this senseless vessel;
\nthe idyllic mirage is shattered –
\nstinging sea-mists assail me.<\/p>\n

The uphill path forks ahead
\ninto leisurely highways –
\nbeguiling, compelling my passage.<\/p>\n

My reason has fled
\nat this abeyance of mystery,
\nleaving bitter reflections.<\/p>\n

Now I can only see
\nSatan awaiting, awaiting in darkness
