Paul\u00a0 chartered with CILIP and has worked\u00a0 in a range of information related roles, as a Web developer in an academic library (North East Wales Institute of Higher Education now Glynd\u0175r University, Wrexham) and\u00a0 currently as an E-Learning Librarian (University of Liverpool). Paul\u00a0 has also worked in Further & Higher\u00a0Education as a sessional tutor\/lecturer of IT and is a Fellow of\u00a0 the Higher Education Academy. Paul’s\u00a0 research interests include educational applications of the World Wide Web,\u00a0 e-learning and Web accessibility. Paul has\u00a0 written a text on e-learning entitled Delivering e-learning for Information Services in Higher Education<\/a>. <\/em>Paul has written a range of articles, commentary and book reviews. Paul is an editorial board member of the Information for Social Change<\/em> journal\u00a0 (https:\/\/informationforsocialchange.wordpress.com\/<\/a>) –\u00a0 contributing articles and editorial work, and was a committee\u00a0 member of the Career Development Group Wales. Paul was also a UNISON Health\u00a0and Safety officer & management appointed safety officer and holds NEBOSH in Occupational Health and Safety. Paul has been a\u00a0Trades Union branch committee member for UNISON and most recently, UCU.\u00a0\u00a0 Other\u00a0 activities have included book chapters on Web\u00a0 Accessibility for information systems in Knowledge Managment, Practical, Cultural and Theoretical\u00a0 Perspectives<\/em> and a chapter on E-Learning in Higher Education\u00a0 in Digitisation Perspectives<\/em>. Paul’s\u00a0 PhD concerned student perceptions of distributed learning\u00a0 (combining class-based and online learning in a low-contact and professional\u00a0 study context).<\/p>\n
